Recap Time: The CCW Trade Show 2024
As soon as it had started, it was already over again. The CCW, which took place for the 25th time, attracted 7,400 visitors and 215 exhibitors from all over the world (41 countries). It was only the third CCW for us, but we already felt really at home. As a central meeting place for innovators, our customers and visionaries in the area of customer service and dialogue, CCW is the highlight of the year for us.
Our stand
It's Monday, 26.2.: After a short stop for plant shopping and a hot dog break, my colleague Jona and I left for CCW 2024 in Berlin. Our task was to prepare the stand before the start of the trade fair. Although the TV made it to the exhibition stand, it gave up the ghost along the way. It's almost a small tradition, as this happened last year;)
2024 marks the year in which we exhibited for the first time in Hall 3 on just under 12 square meters. An interesting experience, as the hall is much busier but also more restless. The number of large companies and extensive stands is enormous. It's not that easy to draw attention to yourself here — and yet there was always a lot going on at moinAI's stand.
The conference
Parallel to the exhibition, lectures, panel discussions, award ceremonies and many other events take place at the conference.
On the first day of the fair, I unfortunately didn't manage to watch Sophie Hundertmark's talk about ChatGPT live, but watched the recording the following week. It offers interesting content and is definitely recommended if you want to find out more about the uses of ChatGPT.
On the second day of the fair, I started with an exciting presentation by Prof. Dr. Oliver Errichiello: “Automation — how far can we go?” The presentation highlighted the complexity and importance of trust in customer relationships. Trust is the result of a process and cannot simply be created by being asked to do so. Automation — for example through AI — is no abbreviation for this process and human interactions remain an important factor in customer relationships.
Following the presentation, it was my colleague Johannes Hehr's turn. A presentation in Pecha Kucha format: 20 slides, each with 20 seconds per slide. The presentation and the subsequent AI panel can be seen here:
The fair
At OMR 2022, we presented a chatbot for the first time that was able to answer every question with generative AI. The enthusiasm was limited and it took just under a year for ChatGPT to pave the way for such generative AIs. The development was clearly noticeable at CCW this year. While in 2023 there was talk of AI at many stands, but no one spoke of generative AI, we were able to find out about the topic at every third stand this year.
I particularly liked the smaller exhibitor areas for young companies and startups, such as STARTUP VISIONS with the companies Delight, ThankU, sonocom, Blankmile, Communi5, blankmile, tellma and LeapingAI. Congratulations to Johannes Raschpichler for STARTUP VISIONS Award and 👏 to Udo Schüring from CC Club for the moderation.
conclusion
Overall, CCW 2024 was already the highlight of the year for us. I was happy to meet partners, customers and many others.:)
